Oct 16, 2005 We have had a number of requests by people concerned about privacy and the fact that we display birth date information. We have therefore made it a policy that birthdate information will only be displayed to members. To become a member you must provide a pedigree that links you with the Hendricks family or have legitimate research reasons to gain access to the database.

Requests to be removed from the database need to be made with the archivist. The webmaster is only responsible for the webpages (i.e. look and feel and design) NOT the database. Questions about genealogy or histories need to be made to the Research Director. Contact information can be found under Contacts at the left. Please DO NOT email the webmaster with these questions.

Jan 17, 2005 To All Who View Our Website: The HHFO genealogy database portion of this website is a work-in-progress. Currently, when you edit information on this website, the changes are made to this website only, for viewing by other family members. The website changes are not automatically transferred to our official HHFO database. To have your information changed on our official HHFO genealogy database, please send your information directly to our Archivist, Harold Hendricks. Periodically, the official database will be downloaded to the HHFO website to reflect the new changes. You may find Harold's contact information on the Contacts link of this website.

Nov 21, 2004 We are back up and running now for the most part. There have been a few changes to the site. First off, you should hopefully notice a bit faster download as we increased the bandwidth as a result of the relocation. We have also scrapped phpBB as the forum, since it was having such a hard time loading, and have replaced it with W-agora. Give it a try and let me know what you think. I am also working on having the mailing list up and running ASAP.

Nov 7, 2004 The system is partially rebuilt, however full functionality has not yet been restored. For the time being, the forums and new member sign up will be disabled as these issues are resolved. Thank you for your patience.

Oct 20, 2004 On October 23, 2004 the site will be down most of the day for maintenence. We will be updating the server with new software. We will also load the latest genealogical data at this time. This will overwrite existing changes made during this beta period. If you have questions or comments on the site please email the administrator.

Feb 11, 2004 We have updated the genealogical database with the most current information. You should now be able to search for anyone that can be found on the most recent CD release.

We are having a bit of trouble with the forums. You may have noticed that when you click on the link, the forum page does not load or is very slow. We are trying to find the cause of this. If you are paient and wait for a while (1 or 1.5 minutes) The page will eventually load. Once you are inside it is not that slow for the other sections of the forums.

We have made slow progress towards our objectives for this site. Mainly due to my schedule and lack of available time. If you are interested in participating in development of this site please let me know.
